This started off as a sad tale of woe but by the end it turned into a fantastic ending.
I had prearranged to stop in and have my bike serviced since I was passing through from out of country.
When I arrived at L.A. HD, my bike, was making a horrible screeching noise. The bike was booked in, even thought the service department was booking two weeks in advance.
Well it turned out to be something that the tecks had not heard before.
First to work on the bike was Abraham. After that more problems were discovered. They ended up tearing the engine completely apart and found they needed to order parts. I had to wait a week for the parts to come in and when they did, the tecks got right to the task of putting my engine back together.
I have to thank so many people there and I don't want to leave anyone out but special mention has to go to Angie first of all, who was unbelievably helpful. She spoke with HD warranty and was able to convince them to help out because the bike technically was just passed warranty. She was very accomodating in helping me to get a place to stay and so on.
Then there was Wes who did the final assembly. There were others like Eric, Paul, Jess and Andy.
Obviously I was delighted with the results and was on my way to completing my trip.
I can't say enough about how well I was treated and the level of service I received.
If there is an award within the company for special performance, then it should go to the service department.
I want to thank each and every person who had a hand in getting me on the road again.

First of all Jan & I would like to say thanks to John for dinner. He realy supprised us by doing that. I would also would like to give a thank you to Richard for showing us and explaining to us the features of the Harley Trike that we finally bought. The guy approached us in a very professional manner and was not overly aggressive in trying to sell the product. He new what we wanted and why so he did not waste a lot of time on other models.
The other person we would like to thank is Brooke. She was very down to earth and also professional in her knowledge of how to help us get financing on our new Harley. My wife and I visitted again Saturday to see our Baby that we purchased last Saturday. From the moment we walked through the front door everybody made us feel like we were right at home. "My son and i wanted to be on Harleys this summer ,he is a disabled vet after 2 wars Iraq and afganastan. At first things didnt go so well, when the sales manager found out how disappointed we were he bent over backwards to fix things . when alll was said and done my son rode out on his brand new super Glide and my bike will be delivered next week . I was very proud to see my son on his dream bike after all he had been through . 1 day after his 23 birthday . Was i happy ????? probably 1 of the top 20 days of my life . "We have bought 2 Harleys from L-A. Most recent a 2010 Dyna Super Glide Custom. Thank you to Brooke for being an awesome sales person! We love the bike! The only disappointment we have is when we made the deal we asked if they could store it for the winter to be included in the deal and were told they were full for the winter, a couple of weeks later it was advertised on the radio that if you buy a new bike they will store it for the winter for free. Over all a good experience buying the bike and we are very happy with it, just disappointed that we did not get the storage in our deal. "

I purchased my 2003 Road King from another dealership. I had it stroked out to 113" and have had nothing but problems ever since. Years and thousands of dollars, and several other dealerships later I finally took it to L-A Harley recently and that bike has never run so good in the nine years I've owned it. It's like a whole new bike. The only regret I have now is...I wish I would have broght it there in the first place! THANKS SO MUCH for finally getting that bike to run the way it supposed to!

After continuing problems with my 2009 Street Glide with a big bore 103 kit.Brian corrected with a tune.Later upgraded to a 120R engine.Had to revisit Brian again to get my new engine straightened out.Dude knows his stuff.Highly reccomend L.A. Harley to dyna tune a modified bike.

Commissioner Morrison, My name is James Burton and I live in Bushnell, Florida. I would personally like to share my wonderful experience in passing through your great town. My friend John Mitchell and I just retired from the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (Tampa area) after 32 years. Upon our retirement, we had planned a trip of a life time, to visit various destinations and landmarks of both the United States and Canada. Having said that, we were visiting the Lewiston/Auburn area when our travels brought us to LA Harley Davidson. My 2009 Harley Ultra had developed a mechanical problem that could have stranded us into the nether regions of your state. We were very fortunate to have been in Lewiston at the time of this problem. LA Harley Davidson promptly diagnosed the problem and worked diligently to get my cycle safely back on the road. At the same time, I was summoned to immediately return to Florida due to my Father failing health as he was being sent to Hospice . While waiting for the parts that were ordered, the dealership and their staff performed brilliantly to make the wait for the necessary repairs as painless as possible. Everyone in the dealership was so courteous that I will never forget what they did for me. The Dealership managing partner, John Story, even loaned a Harley to use so that I could continue to see your beautiful countryside. The staff also advised as to what local diner establishments to visit so that I could get the essence of the food that Lewiston/Auburn has to offer. What stands out of my experience was the level of commitment and customer service that I received upon my return to Florida. My bike developed the same problem as I experienced there in Lewiston/Auburn. As the problem was re-diagnosed here in FL by another Harley Davidson dealership, LA Harley Davidson assumed responsibility and handled the problem with no hassle to me. This is almost unheard of with companies today. In closing, having shared my experiences with you and your community, I would like to personally thank your wonderful town for my wonderful memories. Brent took care of me when I had a sudden gas leak from behind the air cleaner on my '03 FLSTFI...I called him on my cell phone after consulting my GPS to find the nearest dealership.(8/14/2010).....He could not have more helpful on the phone...he completely assuaged my fears and told me to come right over...When I arrived, he took me right in and explained your policies, all the while building my confidence that my problem would be resolved as soon as possible...I could not have been more pleased at how this was handled.... Dear Mr. Story, I purchased a new 2009 Night Rod Special at your dealership on June 23, 2010. I had previously purchased a new Fat Boy from L-A Harley in the summer of 2008. At the time of that purchase, Ludger was the salesman, and during this latest purchase, Matt was the salesman. I was impressed by their expertise, Friendliness, and willingness to go the proverbial "extra mile" to make my buying experience stress-free and pleasant. Business managers, Scott and Chad, were instrumental in making the actual purchase of my Night Rod a painless event. Your huge inventory of Harleys is very impressive. The only "down-side" is that it makes it difficult to decide which Harley to buy. Also important is the service one receives after the purchase. In this case, L-A Harley also hit a home run. Matt, along with those in the parts dept. (two names I can remember are Kevin and Brandon but there's also a third man that has waited on me) have been helpful in assisting me with after-market parts for my bike. Brent, from the service dept., has worked diligently in getting my bike repaired, a Vance & Hines exhaust installed and dyno tuned, and back on the road despite numerous repair and maintenance projects on other bikes. Although I did not buy anything from the sales dept. this time around, every sales person that waited on me in 2008 was patient and knowledgeable in helping me select riding gear. As you can see, I have been very impressed with your employees at L-A Harley-Davidson. I cant imagine that there is a better motorcycle dealership anywhere in the U.S.A. My wife and I have just returned from a 2,000 mile journey covering a lot of Southern Maine and New Hampshire. We were visiting with friends in Wells Beach, Maine when we started having electrical problems with our 2007 Ultra Classis(no turn signals, brake lights or cruise) in addition to purchasing all the 15 amp fuses we could locate. Being as close to N.H. as we were, we attempted to have an unmentioned dealership take a look at it, but to no avail--they didn't have the time. Having worked at a H-D dealership before, an out-of-stater would ALWAYS take precedence, only because we knew that customer was on a time-clock. Rather than trying to convince the parts manager to reconsider, we rode another seventy-five miles to L-A Harley in Lewiston, Maine. We arrived at approximately 10:30 am and spoke to the service tech ((Brent Dube). He immediately escorted my wife and I outside and tried to assess the problem. He also explained the process of hourly rates and what would happen if it exceeded that timeframe. Meanwhile, the service manager (Wes Perham) intervened and introduced us to their mechanic and electrical expert (Abe Lauze). Abe jumped in with both feet and before I knew it, the fairing was off and wires were pretty much all exposed. The gentleman knew his job but without a code, he was forced to start testing wires from beginning to end. Finally, after nearly two hours, he discovered the cause and fixed the problem. Oh, by the way, he worked through his lunch break. This is only a short memo and a big thanks to the people mentioned above for their total deciation to their jobs and to the company. Mr. John Story, you have a great team. On behalf of my wife and I, please pass on my thanks and gratitude. The rest of our trip went extremely well and I'm proud to announce "all lights worked". We'll be back!!!

John, I just wanted to take some time to inform you of the great buying experience I recently had at your shop. I live in Washington, ME and have been getting ready to buy a new bike for some time. I wanted to buy at Augusta as they are 30 minutes from my home, so...off I went.... Financing was pre-approved in minutes and I let the salesman know that I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, and what I could afford to pay, I felt I was very clear. I wanted a 2010 WideGlide in black, Period (my friend recently purchased teh same bike, he let me ride it, and I loved it!). They told me they did not have one, and there were none in the state, but there was one in NH he could get the next day. I could work with that, in the mean time they try and sell me a 2009 nighttrain that they say they will give me a great deal on and will get in the payment I was looking for. They said they will also give me more for my trade. Further more I would have to give them a grand for the Wideglide because they could not give me as much for my trade on my bike on that deal. So with this I rode the Nighttrain, which I hated! He then tried to sell me honda that he said was better than the Wideglide. So I went home to think all this over with my head swimming over the last several hours I had spent getting the run around, while thinking, I googled all the bike shops in the area and distance from me. I then called your place up and spoke with Brian Ouellette. he had two of what I wanted. I told him over the coarse of three minutes what I had, what I was looking for as an end result. He asked if I could hold for a minute. He spoke with Scott Travers. Moments later he told me to come up in the morning, and if what I told him was true we had a deal. I arrived at your shop with my bike at 10:30 and I saw a Black Wide Glide all by its self. I went to sit on it and noticed a sold sign on the grip so I immediately got off! Brian came to me a moment later and said "Hi Tim" (he recognized my bike in my truck as I pulled in!). We spoke for a moment and he told me he would take a look at my bike, I asked if I could sit on the sold bike, he said "sure thing its yours" and at 11:15 we were loading my 2010 Dyna WideGlide in Black into my truck. Your staff was no nonsense, pleasant, provided me with all the facts, and did not make me feel I was being worked! I will tell all that listen about my experience, and when i buy my wife a new bike in the next couple of years I will be back!

Once again our extended family at L-A Harley has out done themselves. We had the great pleasure of buying the mid-year 2010 Screaming Eagle Ultra. As always the entire team was there to support and comfort me through the long wait for the bike to arrive. I should explain we bought the bike before it was built and spent from Feb. until May waiting for it to arrive. When it did arrive I'm not sure who was more excited me or the folks at the dealership. The bike was delivered in as you would expect knowing the L-A Harley family in pristeen condition and has already been back for the 1000 mile service and returned to me cleaner than when I dropped it off. The sales department from Bert to John to Don were always there asnswering my questions. The guys in service treat us like family as always and the detail man Jason what can I say he takes as much pride in our bike as we do. Thanks folks love doing business with you all.

My wife and I was out on a long ride yesterday when I developed a problem with the idle on my 2009 Iron. I went into the dealer to price a used bike. The following morning I find myself on a 2010 Road King Classic driving beside the wife to get a Dunkin Donut coffee. Getting the wife on her own bike may not have happened without the L/A salesman (Brian) custom fitting a used bike (2007 Super Glide) that gave her the confidence she needed. Scott, in the finance department, pulled a rabbit out of a hat by getting me financed for both bikes. It's a good feeling to deal with people who are the best in their field.. good job guys. Our overall experience with L-A Harley has been a wonderful one. We just bought our second bike from them. Our first bike was in 2007. It was a Road King Classic. My better half and I just purchased a 2010 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. What a bike! What we have noticed with the sales staff is that they are very patient with you and they will fit you to the right bike. There are many styles to choose from. In fact they have the most bikes to choose from then any other dealer in a 100 mile radius. We have been to them all. The Service & Parts people are truly fantastic. It seems as though every time we go to add a new accessory they always go the extra mile to help you out. What we also noticed is that they have a great selection of Harley clothing. They often have sales. We love the culture; we love the rides they put on. We have met a lot of new friends. We both agree and we feel as though we belong to the L-A Harley family. I encourage anyone who is thinking about purchasing a Harley to give them a chance. You will be glad you did. We certainly are!

Three years ago I was able to afford a bike and within 2 hours drove away with my first Sportster. I had owned a bike years previous. I started customizing it right away and at the end of that first year Carl Crosen asked me if I would like a bigger bike when I requested info on a lifetime maintanence contract. The only other model that really appealed to me was the "Street Glide." The newness and excitement of ownership has not worn off. The dealership has always been great to deal with. Nearly all of them know me by name and we joke and kid around every time I stop in. Carl Crosen should be given credit for asking the right questions, John Dillingham the credit for his knowledge of what he sells, the parts counter for their helpfulness and the service area for their knowledge and expertise. This purchase was our second HARLEY. Our first was a NEW 2008 Sportser for my wife. Fox helped her through it all, and what impressed me the most. When Fox found out it was hers, just like their phrase says "Where its all about you", well it was just that All about HER. She knew "0" about motor cycles and he was the BEST. Directed every conversation to her. Simply put, The Best New Vehicle Purchase ANYWHERE! Our second was for me. We tried on several occasions to purchase a bigger bike then at that time my 2001 FXDWG, no luck, certainly thru no fault of L/A Harley I can assure the readers. Then one Saturday in mid November there it was, the most beautiful bike in the show room. It seamed to reach out to me, being retired NAVY and the paint on it go hand in hand. and what this was, was a 2004 SOFTTAIL HERRITAGE with a numbered special HD paint #32 of 200 NAVY painted bikes. L-A Harley, We are so thankful for your support to Camp Sunshine. Our family needed a safe, supportive and understanding place to heal. Our son, Dana Wilson York was diagnosed with stage 1 Wilm's Tumor in May 1998. In December of 1998, we were told he was cured. Unfortunately, Dana relapsed and after surgeries, chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and radiation, Dana died January 23, 2000. What Camp Sunshine has given us is a place for restoration. I have lived within 10 miles of Ellsworth all my life. When we lost our only child, we didn't feel peace anywhere. Fortunately, we were introduced to Camp Sunshine's bereavement camp in 2005. The experience here has shown us God's love. The volunteers and staff care about the process. We have learned to grow, heal, change and laugh out-loud again... at Camp Sunshine. The opportunity to be in a room with 40 sets of parents who have buried children can be overwhelming. Camp Sunshine allows us space & togetherness. Camp Sunshine's family environment focuses on support for every person in the family. All groups are divided by ages: Infant, toddler, 6-8, 9-12, teen, adults. Separating the adults, allows us to have honest conversations about the struggles and joys of life. Your generosity in supporting our family's healing is appreciated. Camp Sunshine has allowed our hearts to soften and be opened. Sorry for the delay in posting this July 23,2009 I was riding from Bangor heading to NH in a heavy steady rain when the rear end started to shimmy. My rear tire had lost its air but I was riding on Run Flats 2007 FLHTP but the side wall gave out. Re filled it with air but with the side wall gone, I was in trouble. I limped my way to LA Harley and rolled up to the door 5 min before the shop closed and Scott Tanguay Service Director there said they could do it first thing in the AM. I was expecting this and asked about a local motel. He then came back from the service bay and said the mechanic Ty Scott, who was going off duty, said he would stay behind to do the job. Scott said he would stay as well to help outl. This was above and beyond; you read about this sort of thing in HOG magazine but here it was happening in front of me I called for Pizza and soda from a local restaurant 45 min wait. Now both tires had to be changed over due to them being run flats .The bike was ready before the pizza arrived.We spent the next half an hour eating, talking about bikes and my trip to NH. Scott and Ty, a very big thank you for going above and beyond on a rainy Thursday evening

I live in the Portland area and went shopping at my local DEALER whom i won't name on rainy day looking for a used bike to be purchaced in the fall they said they couldn't show me any in the out back come back on sunny day's not empressed went back couple weeks later and guess what kind of summer we have had you guessed rain so we can't look. Came up here and meet Fox and Stormi and what a happy time we all had i bought a leather coat first second visit looked some more no pressure third time still having fun with Fox we bought an 09, 1200 Sportster Custom I love riding !!!!! My wife and I bought a FLHT standard at LA Harley ,bone stock with 65 horsepower. after a ride we decided to go with bigger lungs for torque. in house parts and years of experiance , the guys at L-A Harley made 92 TQ with 102 HP easy! we have taken first place in there bike show (bagger class) and I'm now in there horsepower club with a 95" incher. We are writing to express our deepest appreciation for the treatment we received at L-A Harley, with our recent purchase. My husband Blin had been exploring the possibilities of upgrading for some time. The weekend of March 8th we went down so we could purchase riding gear and check out the Street Glide. I myself have been getting geared up to get my license, and so was kind of looking for a bike that might work for me. Neither of us at that time were ready to buy, always enjoy looking :). That was the day that we met Don Morin. He was extremely helpful. I had told Don that I didn't have my license yet, I was just looking around, and yet he still took the time to help me find something that would fit me. He showed me 5 different bikes, allowed me to sit on each one of them and explained the importance of center of gravity as well as the best way to get the bike upright. Don knew I was not there to buy and I felt a little guilty thinking I was wasting his time, but he never acted as if that were the case. He was so informative and pleasant, we really enjoyed talking to him. The following weekend, we went to another dealership. Blin saw the Electra Glide Ultra Classic (2009), a beautiful bike, but they didn't have Don there to sell it to us. Blin was so impressed with the way Don treated me, he decided to call L-A Harley back so that he could deal with Don. Blin asked for advice on which style bike suit our needs, going back and forth between the Street Glide and the Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Several phone calls and a second trip down, Don helped Blin figure out what the best bike for us would be. On March 28th, we made our trip down to make the trade. Don took very good care of us and some friends that came down, as well. At the end of the day, we both ended up purchasing a bike. Scott Travers handled the transaction for both Blin and myself. Scott was very helpful and explained everything very well. Our son came with us and you all were so wonderful to him. It was a long day for my little 5 year old, but he says he had the best time being down there. We feel that when people are exceptional at what they do, it should be recognized, so we thought you should know that if we are ever in the market for another Harley or if we have friends that are looking, we are sending them your way and you have Don to thank for that!

Between my husband and I, we have purchased 5 bikes over the last 5 years. 2 of these purchases were at the new L-A Harley store. The most recent was my 2009 Softtail Deluxe. As winter was approaching and staff were taking the winter off, I dealt with several sales people. Each sales person I had contact with made me feel as though my sale was their highest priority. Never pushy, very informative, and always pleasant; going out of their way to make sure I was pleased with my purchase. This was by far the most enjoyable bike purchase I have made so far. As far as the clothing/accessories department - L-A Harley always has a great selection of items to choose from and Diane and her staff are super at assisting you. Jan and I were looking for a new Ultra Classic and you guys had one on the floor we saw and just had to have. We were warmley greeted by Fox and his personal greeting was so great that an imediate connection was formed by him. There was no pressure and his knowledge of what you had available compared to what we wanted was perfect. He was good enough to spend the time with us to make sure we got just what we wanted and were happy with the bike we chose. Kudos to the Harley Davidson Motor Company, John Story, Scott Tanguay, Wes Perham and the other employees at L-A Harley. I ride a Black 2003 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. I bought this motorcycle brand new and have had all major service and repairs performed by the current employees of L-A Harley. My motorcycle has approximately 90,000 miles. While on a lengthy rode trip this past August, my bike experienced a rare mechanical breakdown in Montana completely disabling the bike. After arranging to ship my bike back to L-A Harley - this is what happened. Wes dismantled the motor and expertly diagnosed the problem. He then contacted the Motor Company and explained the issue to one of its representatives. After discussion, the Motor Company stated they would stand by their product and warranty some of the major parts of the motor. WOW! In addition, L-A Harley said they would stand by their work and warranty all the remaining parts of the motor and rebuild it to perfection. WOW! WOW! Can you ride another motorcycle? Yes. Can you have your service and repair work done by yourself or elsewhere? Yes. But will you get a company and a dealership to stand by their product like the Harley Davidson Motor Company and L-A Harley? No way. Both the Motor Company and our dealership have the willingness and the resources to stand behind their motorcycles and this should convince every rider to have their service work performed at L-A Harley. I know that under the expert guidance of Scott, Wes and the rest of the crew this motor will be rebuilt and restored to perfect operation. Now I will be able ride 100,000 miles or more on this 100th Anniversary bike.

I haven't rode since '94. I have 3 brothers and they all own a Harley. I've been wanting one for a long time and my wife and I, yup - you heard me - I said my wife (boy, am I blessed) decided it might be time. We went to L-A Harley in search of a Low Rider. That's when we came in contact with Gary Lawler. Gary went out of his way to help. He was giving us a great deal on an anniversary model, but my eyes kept going back to the orange/black model. He understood my needs and wants and did everything he could to accomodate. There was no pressure at all and I really appreciated that. This was a huge decision for us, and we weren't pressured to buy right then and there. We put some money down to hold it while we mulled it over, and before the week was out, we were proud new owners. Gary was super! And it didn't stop there. Diane Dube - motorclothes mgr, Paul Potvin - events coordinator, and Dan Webber - parts associate, all know what customer satisfaction is all about. I work at a car dealer and nothing takes more priority than that, so I really appreciated the effort there as well. Everyone I've had the pleasure of dealing with so far has been phenomenal! They can't do enough for you. It doesn't matter if it's closing time or not. They don't want you to leave unless/until you're satified. I'm beginning to think the employees there were created from the same mold as Disney World employees. I look forward to these pleasurable experiences for many years to come. It's becoming more and more rare, so it really stands out. Keep up the good work!

I stopped by your establishment on saturday Sept.6th/08 with anouther couple .We were visiting from Nova Scotia,Canada. Being a new biker I did something really stupid by dropping my bike in a parking lot the night before and broke a piece of my brake lever.Wanting to fix it right naway if possible I asked if there was a chance you could fit me in for repairs. You did and not only was this fixed but you also found that my fuel line was leaking which was also repaired. I also had you install a new stock winshield on my electra glide. The service was second to none. I was totally impressed with your service consultant Jesse Beaulieu as well as the mechanic Tyler.I was treated as if I had been a long time customer with the utmost concern for my bike.I guess the thing that really blew me away was that at the end of the it all you washed and waxed my bike before you turned it back over to me. Also before we left Jesse made a point of meeting us outside and wishing us a safe trip . We shook hands as if we had been friends that had not met for awhile.I can't tell you how much the whole experience has ment to me but I can tell you that I have certainly told my fellow riders to drop by your place the next time they are in the area. I certainly will be visiting again next summer if all goes well.In a world where everyone appears to be so busy customer service is taking a beating .You are more than ahead of the class in this respect. I would like to give a big thank's to your guys in the service departemnet Darren and Brian A+ all the way! We had started out on our vacation on Friday Aug 8 heading towards Cape Breton Nova Scotia when after stopping for lunch (which I should say that this was the first time that my bike has seen any rain to speak of since purchase) but needless to say when we were ready to get back on the road, it wouldn't start. After trying several things, finally bypassing the power commander it started but was running hotter than before. I first contacted my insurance carrier Progressive which to no avail was able to send out a tow truck. I then got on the phone and contacted your service department and explained my situation. Being at least 50 plus mile from your dealership they said give them a few minutes to see if the could arrange a driver to pick up my wife and my bike. I didn't get the name of the driver, but I have to say that he treated us first rate, and can't thank him enough. They were able to get my bike in the shop first thing Saturday morning, diagnose the problem and get us back on the road as soon as possible. I have to also add that we were lucky that this problem happpened on the first day of our trip sine I rained for 5 fo the 8 days that were were on the road! It's nice to know that that there there are dealerships like yours that treat your customers as individuals, and not just a number like others do. Thank's Again Jim Fleming

After much research on the net, magazines and discussions with friends regarding the installation of a big bore kit, cams and tuner for my '04 FXDI, I decided to go to LA Harley for advice. This was the best decision that I could have made. Everett spent a lot of time discussing the various options available and how they would perform in my bike. Following his advice, I decided to go ahead with the upgrade,something I will never regret. When the bike was completed, Brian went out of his way to have it delivered to my house. It was raining and cold, but I could not wait to try it out. It is everything that Everett and Wes said it would be. I am still in the break in period but will have it up there shortly to have it tuned on the Dyno. I would like to thank Brian Morton for the great work he performed on my bike. Having my wife Karen return home safely from a 16 month deployment in Iraq on my birthday this year was sweet enough. I never imagined we would purchase a new Harley this year. John D. I bought a new 2007 Harley Heritage Softail from L/A harley in May at your open house from John Dillingham. I loved the bike. My wife and I came to another open house on 9/8/07. We were not there to buy another bike. We were only there to enjoy all the events. After looking at the 2008 Ultra glide and talking with John Dillingham again, My wife and I left with a new 2008 Ultra Glide.This bike is the Best. My husband had a full dresser a few years ago, and we were hooked,Last year my husband of 27 yrs. passed away. When asked the question "If you had to make a choice between your bike and your wife what would you take, he would say, "There is no choice.""My bike"Well as he gotsicker and we saw there was no happy ending to his sickness, he made me promise to ride. So after he passed, I bit the bullet and took the riding course and purchased a 1991 Sportster from a friend. My second oldest son allready had his license, but decided to find hinself a bike. So I took him to L.A. Harley to see what they had available. I told him about the financing and such so we scoped it out. He left with a 2007 Dyna Glide. His wife so skeptical,said we'll see. She is now hooked and their little girls as well. She is going to take the motorcycle course and when she is finished my son is planning on purchasing her own brand new Harley of her choice. Rolled into the dlrshp from Nova Scotia to get a tire change and a potential disaster in the primary and starter was averted with the quick help and expertise of the service department. The staff took us in and found a bolt had backed out which could have caused a major problem. We rolled in at 2pm and they had us back on the road by 6pm. Kudos to the team and we would recommend everyone to drop by for all their purchase and service needs. We travelled from N.S. to Boston and this shop is by far the best we visited for both pricing and service. You guys ROCK!!

I was shopping for a used Harley with a friend of mine. We went to another dealership in Maine but they didn't seem to want to work with me. My friend had bought a couple of bikes from L/A so he decided to take me there. He made a phone call to let them know we were on our way. The Manager of the store met us at the door and told me I will not be leaving without a bike. The rest was history! The sales personell were exellent. They did not pressure me in the slightest and all were very personal and professional. Oh! I failed to mention, I did not leave with a used bike, I left with a Brand New Electra Glide Classic for just a few more dollars than the other dealer wanted for a used one. I also bought a new reach seat for my Sportster while I was there from Rockin Randy Rackliffe! What a great guy he was. He installed the seat for me right then and there. Where else can you get service like that? We sealed the deal with Stan Snow on my husbands bike and I must say he answered all of our questions we had asked! Then last but not least we were waited on by the dirt bike devil himself, Patrick Waitt, when we picked out our sunglasses! Which I must add are the best glasses on the planet! Although my experience dealing with L. A. Harley has been the best I could ask for, I wanted to focus on the service dept. Jesse,Angie,Brian and all of the techs. have honestly gone above and beyond excellent. Example; My Wife and I were riding home on a Friday night from dinner, I got a flat tire from a roofing nail and called H.O.G. roadside asst., they where excellent about sending a flatbed tow truck and getting us and the bike home safely. The next morning (Sat.) I called Jesse and explained my situation and the fact that I had plans to go on a run to Laconia N.H. that following Monday. Jesse arranged to have my bike picked up at my house ,had a new rear tire put on, and delivered back to my house that afternoon. This is just one example of the superior service I receive consistently at L.A. Harley. When I traded in my 04 Softtail for my new 07 Ultra Classic Electra Glide last year, I purchased the V.I.P. service package and on every occasion Jesse and the crew have done everything possible to make me feel like a V.I.P. After many years of wishing and wanting this year I decided to take the plunge and buy my first Harley, living in Auburn, of course my first stop was at LA Harley where I was greeted promptly upon entering by Ludger Trembly who was very pleasent and most profesional. Having worked in and around car sales for most of my life I fully expected the " what have I got to do to to make this happen today" approach, but what I got was the exact opposite, Ludger was patient and answered all of my one hundred questions without making me feel pressured or uninformed in any way, much to my suprise Ludger and the Sales Manager Bert Asselin were happy to provide me with numbers on the bike I thought I wanted. At this time I was thinking, this is going way to easy, as I explained to Ludger that I had no intention of buying today and planned to shop the " competition" I was once again suprised by his response, he told me, of course you are, you owe it to yourself to do so.... not what I expected to hear from a salesperson.. so I shopped and found the competition was in fact no competition at all, the professional no pressure aproach I experienced at LA Harley was unmatched on every level. Upon my return to the store, Ludger was again very patient and answered all of my many questions. After several hours I purchased an 07 road king, at which time I met Richard Chadwick who was fantastic and introduced me to the entire staff. Everet, in parts was great in helping me pick out some accessories for my new ride, and Randy Rackliffe was a wealth of knowlege and information, in helping me choose pipes and a power module wich brings me to the Service Dept where I met Angie and Jesse, these two were terrific in helping me solve some minor warranty issues and in my opinion have have gone above and beyond what one could expect.. thanks again Angie. In my many visits to your store I was able to meet and speak with a few of your techs, as i may have mentioned I am in auto service and know the value of good techs and it seems you have some great ones. This is a thank you to the entire service department at L-A Harley Davidson. I own a 1998 883 sportster witch I could not get to start. Some times it would have spark at the plugs and some times no spark.I put it in my truck and took it to L-A Harley Davidson.As I watched them take my bike and started working on it I thought it would be just a short time to get it back, WRONG. Kip is the one that put all his know how and care to work. Kip even took me out back to talk to me about what was happening.Kip you are the MAN. Once again the folks ar L-A Harley have provided us with customer care and service beyond our expectations. We set up an appointment for a delivery detailing at the request of our new and hope great friend John Story.We had purchased our Screaming Eagle Ultra last Nov. and as riders often do we picked it up at the first sign of springon short notice. Because of my impatients, our bike didn't get the full attention to detail that John wanted and he pointed out some finish swirls he wanted buffed out.Well 200 miles,two weeks, and 20 inches of snow later we got the bike to the service department on Friday April 27. The bike was brought in and detailed to include a complete coat of wax and I can not express how great a job the guys in service did. T say the least when folks stop next to us at a light or when we stop for a break when riding all eyes turn to our Harley. The pride in workmenship of those guys is surpassed only by our pride in ownership. It goes without saying we are and will continue to be L-A Harley family members for as long as they will have us.

Last week I was in your store to purchase a leather jacket to go with my new bike I bought last month from you and I recieved that free cooler.When I got home and opened it,I was very impressed with what a great freebie.I have a buddy I tried to get him to visit L/A for his bike. I walked in and due to limited saleman, Chuck assisted me on that day. I looked at a couple of different bikes. I went back and Chuck turned me over to Stan. He carried the excellent sales team approach going. I first put a Softail Standard in the back. After chrome and a few other items, the cost wnet up. After sometime thinking it over, I went back to get the bike but brought up the cost and started looking at other bikes. Did they say no the softail is for you. They just agreed and went with me at looking at prices and discussed the other options on the other bikes. I was lucky and Jen from clothes came over to assist by sitting on the back of a couple of bikes with me. She helped more than I can really tell her. I decided to get the ROAD KING instead. If I had one comment that could be at all negative it would be that I am not made aware of any promotions you have going on. I never receive flyers or e-notifications from you guys. I have been to Seacoast Harley in N.H. once when I purchased a new seat($300) 4th of July week (You guys were closed that day) and have received several flyers from them. I bought my 02 Road King and a whole bundle of accesories and clothes from you guys and yet I am not in your loop. Seacoast is about the same distance for me and Big Moose is even closer. That being said I very much enjoy how I am treated by you when I am in your store. I would like to be informed more though, so I don't miss out on your events.

I came in to start looking for next summer. My intention was to look at all of the dealers in ME. Most places when I come in they ask if they can help but when I say that I am just looking I am told that "if you have any questions I will be right over there." Right away someone came over and I said that I was just looking. He actually asked what I was looking at and even thou I was not going to buy kept talking to me about the bike. Not pushy just discussion. He them bowled me over by asking if I had to have a brand new bike. I told him that I was sort of partial to the color and the style. he asked if he could show mee something. We walked back and there was the same bike only an 06 FXDBI. Very low miles, right bike, right color and great price. He sent Chuck over and the deal was done. I pick it up at the end of winter early spring. I bought my old Buell from the old dealer and it was more of a hastle than this.

Purchased my 2001 xl1200 custom from you folks in early May of this year. After visiting several other dealers, it was a pleasure to walk into your establishment and meet your friendly and helpful staff. I knew what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. Your staff didn't pressure me or try to talk me into something else. They helped me get on the bike and out door. I've been to all the Harley dealers in Maine and L/A Harley Davidson is by far the best. Don't go to these guys unless you enjoy being waited on hand and foot. Doesn't matter if it's your first time there or your 22nd time your treated top notch.This is my first bike with them and it won't be the last.

I had been looking for my first bike for several years and finally decided to get one, and I knew where to go! Stan Snow met me at the door, walked me around the showroom, which is large, and explained the different details about each class of Harley bikes. Once I found one he took me to Chuck Mailhot. Chuck had me approved and insured through Harley itself in less than 10 minutes! My approval was extremely quick, and the service from all the staff was the best I've ever had and fun! I walked out with a Harley Fatboy custom for my first bike, and they delivered it for me. I am now a customer for life!!

Although we live in Augusta, within a week of each other my husband and I bought 2 Harleys (mine 883 custom low rider and Jim got a 1200 custom) from LA Harley. Not only was Don the best salesman ever, Mark Turcotte was wonderful also. Have been back several times since just because the employees are great (and we've bought accessories).We have recommended LA Harley to several people, couldn't get a better deal or better service from anyone else. Your service dept. did an awesome job on 1st service and installing my aftermarket pipes, dyno jet kit and Screamin' Eagle air kit. I would have given a 5 star rating, but, you forgot to loosen up my rear fender strut bolts and replace the two torx bolts that were stripped.

Listen: All I did was go in to buy a sissybar for the wife and a set of saddlebags for me I got to looking around at all the great looking bikes there (drooling) and along came Don Morin. He showed me around explained all my options worked with me to get the best tradein for my older Harley and I got my saddle bags the wife got her sissybar and we got a great bike to go with them. A great to Don and Chuck Mailhot who also helped in closing the deal. I do have to say aLL the staff at LA Harley has been very freindly and helpfull They did the 55 point check on my bike and took care of any thing that needed to be done. Oh yeah I spun the wheel after the sale and won the 250.00 in chrome. Great overall expereiance!

Hi All, Getting ready to buy a Harley for the first time I started doing homework last fall. I live in RI but intended to buy the bike in Maine. Last fall I stopped in twice to look at bikes and no one even came over and asked if they could help...sorta left a bad taste. My neighbor, in Maine, told me that the dealership had changed hands. So I stopped in just to see if things had changed and ended up buying a new Low Rider...I could not believe the difference. The place was upbeat and enrgized. The first person who greeted me when I came in was Gil Rivard....whatever you are payin' him..it ain't enough. His knowledge and enthusiasm is what closed the deal for me. DO ABS BRAKES REALLY WORK?! For what it's worth... I recently purchased a 2012 CVO Street Glide from L-A Harley Davidson a few weeks ago. One one of my trips I was coming into the outskirts of a city, into a "Y" intersection. I had the "right of way" when suddenly a big older blue car started drifting out of his lane into mine. I immediately let off the throttle, he then bolted across my lane. I couldn't go left due to on coming traffic, and couldn't go right into his path, so in desperation I slammed on both brakes just as hard as I could. I felt a few jerks and the bike abruptly stopped, I mean stopped! As I sat there with m heart pounding in my throat I saw an older man behind the wheel who never turned his head, whiz by me by not more than 2-3 feet at the most! He never saw me. If I had had my old 03 Road King or any other bike without ABS rakes I would be in the hospital or worse. As for me, I will NEVER ride a bike without ABS brake again! To EVERYONE at L-A Harley...MERCI' BOUCOUP!

THIS PAST WEEK I WAS ON VACATION UP IN MAINE. I GOT GAS A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD. WHEN I WENT TO START MY BIKE IT WOULD NOT START. MY BIKE IS NEW, WITH ONLY 5400 MILES ON IT. After continuing problems with my 2009 Street Glide with a big bore 103 kit.Brian corrected with a tune.Later upgraded to a 120R engine.Had to revisit Brian again to get my new engine straightened out.Dude knows his stuff.Highly reccomend L.A. Harley to dyna tune a modified bike.

"My son and i wanted to be on Harleys this summer ,he is a disabled vet after 2 wars Iraq and afganastan.
